Freddie's Coaching History
Freddy has progressed and reduced his handicap immensely in a very short space of time. And, at present, he currently represents the county. However, we have no doubt he will go onto be one of the best junior golfers in our region.
Freddie joined the academy in August 2017 at eleven years old. He may have been small in stature but he was big in potential. He started with a playing handicap of 24, but it didn’t stay that way for long. His passion and love for the game was clear to see from the start and with a golfing brain well beyond his years.
Our work started by implementing postural changes to help improve his body and movement mechanics. This in turn would lead to ball flight changes (fade to draw) and increased distance. Within a couple of seasons, with hard work and dedication, Freddie was quickly down to a handicap of 8.

Golfing Aspirations
Freddie knew from the start, beyond any doubt, that he wanted to be playing on the European Tour one day. This ambition, along with his razor-sharp short game, remains one of his biggest strengths.
More detailed work followed both on and off the course. We soon addressed Freddie’s mental, physical and tactical requirements to allow him to compete in tournaments. Freddie has also started to take a keen interested in his fitness and nutrition. This is an important foundation for optimal performance in modern-day players.
Along with representing Sussex, Freddie also achieved a golf scholarship at Seaford College. His handicap is now 3 (2020) with his sights set on scratch and better. No stone is being left unturned to reach this goal. His dedication is highlighted by the home practice facility he now has in place.
