Our Junior Players
Rohan Miah
Rohan started with the academy in November 2010, age 10 with no handicap. He made rapid progress which has continued with amazing speed. His current swing speed is 120-124, which is a huge weapon in the modern game. In just two seasons, he reached a handicap of five and became a key player for the county.
Freddie Muggeridge
Freddie joined the academy in August 2017 at eleven years old. He may have been small in stature, but he was big in potential. He started with a playing handicap of 24, but it didn’t stay that way for long. His passion and love for the game was clear to see from the start and with a golfing brain well beyond his years.
Morton Bailey
Morton began his coaching at the academy in December 2018 at the age of 12. He started with a playing handicap of 24, but as of 2022 he is playing off of 0. Morton’s improvements were highlighted when he broke 80 for the first time. And it didn’t go unnoticed that he then continued to shoot in the 70’s for the next 10 consecutive rounds.
Sam Stewart
Having joined us in August 2016, Sam made great improvements in all areas of his game. He went from having no handicap to a 15 handicap within two years. Sam’s wanted to become an all-round better golfer, so we tailored his coaching to suit this.
Ben Trimmer
Following a dip in form, Ben was trying to find a way back to his best golf. We analysed his swing and made adjustments to correct some technical issues. More importantly, we worked with Ben to improve his mindset and build his confidence.
Nic Trimmer
Nic was a 15 handicap when he started his coaching with us. One of his key goals was to convert his fade into a draw in order to gain more distance. Following analysis of his swing we made some technical adjustments to allow him to achieve this.
Oliver Middleton
Having recently returned from the USA, Ollie has re-joined the golf academy to continue his coaching. Ollie is determined to pursue a career in golf so we have mapped out a programme to help him achieve this. Ollie recently celebrated his best ever round of 4 over par.
Sam Kirke
Sam has recently started golf coaching to take his golf to the next level after hitting a plateau. He is now starting to think that he may want to pursue a golf scholarship at an overseas college.
James Robinson
James joined us in September 2021. Already a competent golfer, he was searching for a pathway to take his golf to the next level. James has plenty of distance for his age and ability to stroke the ball.
Harvey Underwood
Harvey started with the academy September 2021 with no coaching background and very much self-taught. To be fair he did a pretty good job as getting down to a 5 Handicap is quite an achievement.
Joshua James
Josh joined us in August 2016 and had his sights set on becoming a more consistent ball striker. Through coaching, we helped him to lose his slice, gain a handicap and play in club competitions. Josh was keen to learn through a high-quality structured approach and within a year earnt a handicap of 15.
Bruce Yaun
Bruce started coaching in January 2020 at the age of five. He is an incredibly talented young man who can comprehend and take on instruction way beyond his years. Especially given his English is very limited. He has developed a great swing already and the way he can hit the ball is pretty amazing! One to watch for the future, for sure.
