Golf Academy Application

To ensure that we offer the best level of coaching, we only accept three new applicants into the academy each year. Please read on to see the criteria for selection and to fill out an application form. 

Acceptance Criteria

The academy is primarily aimed at junior golfers between the age of 8 and 18. However, before any player is accepted into the academy, we will ask him/her to undergo an assessment session. This is quite an informal process that allows us to ascertain their current standard of golf. This session will include:

  • Bio-swing dynamics screening
  • Launch monitor data
  • Video movement pattern analysis
  • Short game & putting assessment
  • On course time (if appropriate)

What we are looking for are players that already have a basic level of competence for their age. But, more importantly, we are looking for enthusiasm and aspirations of progressing to the higher levels of the game. Successful applicants will show an ability to learn and a desire to improve. It’s also important to ascertain if the player and coach get on well together. This will ensure that the coaching programme is effective.

We also like to make sure that the player has sufficient time available to practice what they are taught. Not only on the course or in the range, but also at home and through online video tuition. This is important if they are to meet their goals and aspirations.
