Flightscope Launch Monitor

What is a launch Monitor?

A launch monitor is a device that measures many different parameters of the ball and club during a golf swing. It can accurately measure crucial data such as club head speed, ball speed, spin rate and launch angle. This information is enormously valuable to our golf coaches when analysing a student’s swing. It allows us to quickly identify problems with the swing and work on training exercises to correct any problems.

Why do we use FlightScope?

There are many launch monitors on the market. FlightScope however, is a market leading launch monitor that uses a combination of 3D Doppler tracking and image processing. It’s unique fusion tracking technology combines the two technologies to accurately read and process live actions.

FlightScope is capable of tracking 28 parameters of the club head and ball flight in each swing. It displays the data immediately after each swing on a screen for the player and coach to evaluate.

Club Selection

Launch monitors are a perfect tool for coaching our junior players as the data is instantly available. We can make adjustments to the swing to instantly see and accurately measure the effect that it has. FlightScope can accurately measure yardage which is really valuable for teaching students about club selection. Knowing how far and how accurately you tend to hit each club is crucial when you’re on the course.

Bryson Dechambeau

It’s not just our students that benefit from using launch monitor technology. Even the pro’s use it. Here’s a video of Byrson DeChambeau using FlightScope to work on his swing in between rounds on a tournament.
