Programme Resources

These days, simply having a ‘traditional’ golf lesson isn’t enough to keep up with the demands of the modern game. Which is why we ensure that our players have access to all the resources they need to reach their goals. Whether they want to simply ‘play better golf’ or aspire to a career in the game, we have the resources. The Junior Players Academy offers the latest technology, coaches, consultants and training programmes that they need to reach their goals.

Video

We use video analysis as an effective and proven way to improve the efficiency of our coaching. It is a powerful tool for reviewing movement mechanics and plays a critical role in the learning processing. By filming our students’ swing and playing it back frame by frame, it provides valuable visual feedback. It is a proven method that helps our coaches to fine tune a player’s swing to maximise power and accuracy.

Team training and practice

We like to encourage weekly team practice sessions with our players to help cultivate a competitive training environment and mindset. These sessions are great for player development as we encourage students to challenge and push each other to improve. We set skill games and challenges (with and without technology) and set themed practices. And, needless to say, it gives the students additional playing time on the course.

Aside from these core coaching staples we offer a range of top coaching resources:

Players Website / private area

3D Force plates

Force plates measure how the ground is being used and the forces produced by a player during their swing. The players feet are the only contact point with the ground during a golf swing. So, by measuring the pressure they apply during a swing, it provides us with useful biometric data. This allows us to quickly analyse where improvements can be made in a player’s golf swing. Bio-Swing Dynamics Screening

The BioSwing Dynamics screening process has been developed over 35 years by consultants, doctors, bio-mechanists, fitness experts and scientists. The quick and simple screening process identifies how a player’s body and swing is deigned to move biomechanically. Based on how someone is built, it helps to form part of the players blueprint for optimal performance. Learn more…

Club Fitting

Using ill-fitting clubs can cause numerous problems, not only at the start but later in your golfing life. If your clubs do not fit correctly, it is the club, not you, that dictates how you address the ball. As a consequence, the dynamics of the swing will be affected by this initial address position. It can often be responsible for the golfer being unable to obtain the required positions in the golf swing. This, in turn, causes them to perform an incredible amount of manipulation, leading to poor performance and inconsistency. Ensuring players have suitable equipment to help their development and to support performance is an important piece of the puzzle. Learn more…
